The creation and expression of your true Self is done through "dreaming" - by our focused intent. We are either creating an old image, based on our past, and thereby living the effects of obsessively looking backwards. In so doing, we are wasting the same energies we are to use for creating the new and emerging image in alignment with the truth of our being. Whichever way we've chosen to focus our thought processes - what we actually spend our waking moments doing in all modes of mental processing - pondering, fantasizing, obsessing, picturing, re-framing - this is our reality. It is how we create our "stuff of life", the ways in which we actually experience existence. Therefore, our consciousness is anchored here. This true Self is always calling us forward, urging us toward the expression of our Ideal - God's image of us. When we are living our lives in reverse gear, we slow down our progress, and we can even stall out. Or we are creating the new by our willingness to step into the Unknown and allow the process of life to show us where to follow, moment by moment, step by step. So welcome to inner work! And a time-out period in your life to create more of your ideal and future Self. Now, can you begin to see how you are a co-creator? Few take seriously this "new age" maxim: "We create our own reality." Or "Thought is creative." And hardly anyone lives in the world or creates human service programs around this principle. Yet, this simple activity - of how we use our minds - is the governing principle that creates what you call and experience as real. And once we've made something real, it is very difficult to make it unreal. Because, in the meantime, it has already created an effect of some magnitude. Some strong or weak saga will ensue and play out the scenarios. For this is literally how our reality is made. In all individuals, certain types of dreams and symbolism continually recur. They are built on human emotions. Remember, it's your emotional "body" that holds in place the feeling of all the experiencing you've undergone. And you may be surprised to know that all that you've experienced in your life will parallel the various aspects and players in folklore and myths. Nothing we ever do is just personal; all is connected to the whole, though we experience it personally; otherwise, we would not relate and learn from the things that happen to us. Dreams are works of "imagineering" manifesting in a dream-like fashion. Motifs are repeated several times in various degrees of distinction to help you understand the meaning of the various issues you go through. The goals and meanings we strive for are not found in the dreams themselves, but in their interpretation. We are the only "meaning makers." So whatever you decide something means, that's your reality. But there will be a point of intersection in the process of dreaming where the goal toward which the dreaming was aimed can be recognized. The obstacles we meet in dreams represent the conflicts of will within the dreamer. The dream does nothing without purpose. Anxiety is the suppression of a soul impulse thwarted in gratifying itself. It's wanting to be gratified (pleasured) - and this is all the soul ever wants - to express its nature! So when not able to do so , then the energy which is already present gets blocked and manifests as the "electricity" of the original drive toward expression. Anxiety is blocked soul expression. In other words, obstructed satisfaction creates anxiety instead of pleasure. It can make us sick. In our dream life, a theme will repeat itself over and over until we get past our denial or suppression, and get the point. We create our entire identity through the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves. Look bigger to see your higher story. It is only through direct experience and through symbols that things really come alive for us. We are literally impressed by experience and by symbols, then have a dream about it, and in so doing, we have a communion with our soul. The same thing can happen when reading a book. But to learn anything from a book you must have an experience that matches what you are reading about first. Then, you can use the book's message for reflection and to give you a process of recognition. We have to go inward to redeem The Promise - to see the joy and the goodness of life. You may not be thinking in the ways that you have placed your trust. So, you may need to go deeply within to see the bottom of it - you've got to see the good, so it can release. See the Love, the Joy of yourself and of the men and women in your life. This goodness resides at our core - which, unfortunately, is so veiled by doubt, bad self-feelings, and illusion, we rarely get there. There will always be a process of rotting present in the act of procreation. The seed must go into the earth and be corrupted (broken up). But we must always remember that the breaking up of one thing is the begetting of another. It cannot be otherwise; for all is in the eternal flow. We are all looking for that sacred link between the incarnated consciousness that is flawed and the transcendent soul-field, the calm mind beyond all struggles and victory. May you be blessed and guided by the Spirit of Truth along your journey. And remember... Stay conscious out there!
